“Hidden Champions re-inventing medical technologies” - this is what the MedTech Innovation Days in the German Centre Singapore will be about. On two days, small and medium sized companies from Germany that are located in the region, will present innovative developments for the medical industry. Among them are CMI, Erbe, Evonik, Fresenius, Pitzek, Plasmatreat, Richard Wolf, Volume Graphic, Waldner, Zeiss and Zwickroell.
The Asian market for medical technologies is projected to overtake the EU as the second largest market globally by 2020. In Singapore MedTech companies find the perfect breeding ground for their growth, not only because the Singapore government has identified Medtech as a key sector within the biomedical sciences industry for development.
The MedTech Innovation Days are conference and exhibition in one. The event explicitly addresses users of medical devices, products and materials. In hands-on workshops, manufacturers showcase their innovative developments and discuss fields of application. The companies will present smart chirurgical processes, endoscopes and lab equipments, demonstrate the potentials of automatised ophthalmology and visualization applications and talk about future-driven innovations of polymers and bio materials. Aspects dealing with supply chains and production such as GMT (Good Manufacturing Practices) and automated device maintenance are part of the agenda as well as panel discussions on economic and security-relevant topics. One of the highlights will be as well the experts evaluation about Artificial Intelligence in the industry.
The Closing Event of the MedTech Innovation Days bears the opportunity to broaden the network and exchange with experts, customers, associates and other interested parties in a casual atmosphere.
