Congratulations on being our valued customer for almost 25 years! As we, the German Centre Sin­ga­pore are turning 25 years, we want to say DANKESCHÖN – a big THANK YOU!

Could you please tell us more about your company - what kind of products, services or solutions do you offer as well as the type of customers you serve?

We are a German company with global operations that unite four business units – Turbine, Pump, Extrusion and Production Technology under Leistritz AG. We are a dynamic, innovative and reliable partner and since 1905, have continued to strive for a leading global technology market position in the relevant sectors of our business operations.

Our company takes pride in bringing high-quality standard products and services to our valued customers across Asia Pacific. This is ensured through modern production facilities, employee training and quality assurance programs.

Leistritz produces a wide range of tailor-made products for a variety of industries such as automotive, plastics, pharmaceuticals etc. We manufacture Pump, Extrusion Screws, Turbines and Precision Tools. We have a standard range of products, but also provide specialised solutions and services that offer our customers greater efficiency and quality. As a result, we are a stable partner for our business and social environment, providing utmost dedication and professionalism in our products and services.

During these 25 years, why was it important for your company to have a ‘footprint’ in Sin­ga­pore and why do you choose the German Centre Sin­ga­pore?

Sin­ga­pore is an attractive hub with a strategic gateway to South East Asia. It is the world’s busiest tradehub and a prime location for investments in the Asia Pacific region. Being a politically stable country with excellent connectivity and pro-business environment, this is an ideal place for us to establish our base. Having a positive footprint is crucial to our business as it helps us to achieve sustained growth and determine a particular presence in Sin­ga­pore.

We choose German Centre Sin­ga­pore due to both its internal and external building ecosystem. It provides easy access to various facilities, and many opportunities for companies to connect with business partners and customers within the building. It is a perfect place to work, network and do business.

Your company has been in the German Centre for 25 years, what are some of the advantages of being in the building?

The German Centre is very accessible as it is conveniently located close to major expressways so we can reach our customers and clients easily within a short period of time. It also offers various amenities such as a TCC café bistro in the lobby, several food courts that are within walking distance and even shuttle services during lunchtime.

From a business perspective, we get to connect with the German business commu­nity in Sin­ga­pore and ASEAN. With various companies under one roof, we get to meet and network with like-minded people.

Being a long serving tenant, what does your company look forward to on your future landlord-tenant relationship with the German Centre Sin­ga­pore?

We look forward to embracing and being part of the commu­nity with the German Centre. With various tenants under one roof, we hope to connect and collaborate more with each other. In the future, German Centre Sin­ga­pore can organise more events to bring us together, provide platforms for us to showcase our tech­no­lo­gies and learn more about other tenants’ products and services. By providing a wider platform with German and external communities, we get to connect with like-minded people.

Amidst this Covid-19 pandemic situation, events and exhibitions can be done online through webinars. This way, we can continue connecting with our tenants and external communities on a virtual platform.

What advice would you give to other companies who would like to set up their business in the German Centre Sin­ga­pore?

For other companies who would like to set up their businesses in the German Centre Sin­ga­pore, they should be open-minded to meeting and networking with other businesses within the same building. This place allows us to collaborate and exchange ideas with one another.

Lastly, what is the best experience / memory you have of the German Centre during these 25 years?

Throughout our years in the German Centre, the place has been well-maintained, with surrounding facilities and equipment kept up to good standard and clean. Furthermore, the security is also well-monitored thus making us feel safe whilst working here.

During emergency fire drill practices, the German Centre provides opportunities for us to meet other tenants and connect with them through food and beverages such as beer and German sausages which is a meaningful effort. Welcome events and exhibitions are also held regularly for business to showcase and share their products and services with others.
